The sun continued to rise slowly in the morning chill and the frigid draft of the wind blew through the apple trees of the Apple family. The rumble of thunder echoed in the distance while it whistled around Radiance, making her want to curl into a tight ball. She couldn't hear anything, open her eyes, or move more than a little, but she could feel the bitterness of the breeze down to her bones. Bucky's eyesight remained blurry as he looked around, desperately hoping to find something or somepony who could help him. He was in a room of some sort, but felt too nauseous to tell whose it was. His chest heaved with difficulty with each gasp of air becoming more shallow than the last while something clung tightly on his throat. His hoof grasped his neck to feel his Cutie Mark Crusader's cape. He had forgotten that he had put it on, but now it was choking him.  CHAPTER 9: Welcome to the Past  (First draft. Final version in the works)

Zecora's eyes snapped awake and her body jerked from the sound of twigs snapping outside of her house, nearly making her fall out of bed. Twilight and her friends visited often but she was not expecting visitors at sunrise. Whatever was outside was either trying to break in or was in need of help. Getting up, the zebra made her way to the door slowly, ready for any intruder who may cross her path. Anything could be in the Everfree Forest and she was too smart to take chances. Listening carefully, she could hear voices outside.

A new Children of the Mane Six artwork? HUZZAH!


Here we have Bismarck and Bucky, sons of Applejack :iconapplejack3plz:, spending time with their uncle, Big Macintosh :iconbigmacintoshplz:. Family is very important to AJ and makes sure her boys are close to her big brother.

And here's my take on the MLP future: Though Applejack was not the first of the Mane Six to get married, she was the first to have children. Bismarck and Bucky are both the oldest members of the new Mane Seven and the new Cutie Mark Crusaders. Bismarck has grown up to be a rodeo cowboy and works hard to remain competitive and be the best in Equestria. Bucky, though not knowing his skill yet, has talent in writing lyrics.



Design choices: Like my other artworks of the mothers, I've given both Applejack and Big Macintosh updates to their looks. Big Macintosh seems to be the kind of stallion who changes very little over the years. I really can, however, see him grow a goatee as an older adult. Over time he has grown a little more talkative but is still a quiet listener by nature. Applejack has changed even more. Eventually she cut the long hair in favor of a shorter style which she found useful for work. Plus, it also looks more motherlike.



Other stuffs: This was my first artwork on my new program, Sketchbook Pro 6, and I love it! I look forward to improving my work as time goes on!

I enjoy all your mother/children pics. AJ is my fave - I can relate to her the most being a country girl - and I truly think you've done her and Big Macintosh justice.

You know, I never got the whole "CaraJack" ship, to be honest. Granted, almost no ships make any sense, but the only time we see any interaction of the two, AJ is scolding him indirectly while she is talking to Big Macintosh. I guess that's enough proof.

I designed the boys on Apple family colors. Their autumn colors and green eyes are family traits Also, (side note) Bucky's coat is an off-shade of Big Macintosh's hooves. All of my children of the Mane Six were either inspired by their moms' designs or family designs (like Orion's similarity to his grandfather).

I guess that it's just because of that he's like the only stallion that she's ever had contact with who would make sense to pair her with, if she wasn't related to Braeburn, i would totally ship them, but since they're not, i ship Little StrongheartxBraeburn and ApplejackxCaramel.
